THE HEART OF UKRAINE - J.W. Perez
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
Thank you Elon, for your love for humanity is unmistakably linked with your help for Ukraine and the Ukrainian people. It would be an understatement to say that Elon Musk, the richest man in the world and the first man of influence and power to sound the Alarm on Russia’s invasion of Ukraine stands firm with Ukraine on the right side of history. Elon Musk believes that many informed people around the world see Russia’s war on Ukraine as a battle between democracy and autocracy. The world’s most influential CEO has shown a keen interest in both the first and second invasions of Ukraine by Vladimir Putin’s Russia..
Musk, founder of SpaceX Corporation and Chief Executive Officer of the premium Electric Vehicle maker, Tesla, Inc. had said in a recent interview, "We cannot let Putin take over Ukraine. This is crazy." The whole world should rally behind Ukraine to defeat Putin’s Russia for the peace and stability of all countries, big or small, for the good of humanity. When you stand up to the bully, he stands down.
During same interview, the tech tycoon explained that people like him have a responsibility to use their influence to help conduct certain world affairs. "I think I can be helpful in conflicts," Musk said. "I try to take a set of actions that are most likely to improve the probability that the future will be good for all nations and their people everywhere in the world. "I do whatever I think is most likely to ensure that the future is good for all of mankind within our common humanity. Those are the actions that I will take."
Among the actions taken by Elon Musk since the start of the conflict, there is one that has made a huge difference and given Ukraine the best chance of winning this war. Musk provided Starlink antennas - the satellite internet access service of his company, SpaceX; just when the country’s telecommunications infrastructure had been essentially destroyed and completely out of commission by the persistent missile strikes, bombing and shelling by Putin’s Russian army.
Musk’s support for Ukraine has never wavered since. I am sure Elon Musk and other experts have a clear picture of what Vladimir Putin is trying to do, bombing Ukraine’s nuclear plants. Putin thinks NATO and the West don’t know he is been planning and still trying to release deadly nuclear materials into Ukrainian society, same nuclear poisoning that happened in Chernobyl, near the abandoned city of Pripyat in northern Ukraine. What Putin is forgetting is that the entire world is watching this war closely. The whole world thanks Elon Musk for his help. May God bless you, Elon Musk and your household.
TRIBUTE TO UKRAINE
Like all good people in the world, the heart, soul and spirit of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people stand tall, painfully fighting off the enemy, protecting the freedom, democracy, independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. Today, the Ukrainian nation and its people remain standing with the rest of the world on the right side of history. Such reckless aggression against a sovereign nation; an unprovoked war on a peaceful country; the deliberate destruction of another country and its people; invading, terrorizing and bullying smaller and defenseless countries anywhere in the world must be stopped immediately by all means possible. This atrocity, brutality and viciousness; this awful act of terrorism and the flagrant disregard for human life are all heinous crimes against humanity. Such carnage in society is an abomination on mankind and must never be allowed to reap such havoc in human society. These atrocities must never be allowed to go unpunished. Justice must be served for Ukraine and the Ukrainian people.
All nations should condemn Russia for attempting to annihilate another sovereign nation and its people off the face of the earth, all because of politics. All free nations on earth must help defend Ukraine and its people against this unjust and unprovoked attack by Vladimir Putin and his Russian army. All good nations should help protect Ukraine, the Ukrainian people, the Ukrainian military and Ukrainian troops on the front lines. The invading Russian army is obviously shocked and disoriented by the poise and resolve of the Ukraine’s people.
We learn history so we may know the evil that men do. As William Shakespeare noted; the evil that men do lives after them and the good is often interred with their bones. But the key reason why we learn history is to make absolute sure that the evil that men like German Leader, Adolf Hitler and Russian Leader Vladimir Putin did in their lifetime never happens again.
What makes me so proud of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people is that; on this day, the 11 day of August 2022; as I’m putting some final touches to my manuscript, the official poll numbers just came out. 98% of Ukrainians believe in Ukraine’s victory over Russia, and 91% of Ukrainians approve of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s job performance. I think President Zelenskyy is God Sent for Ukraine. Zelenskyy knows what few people know about bullies. When you stand up to a bully, he stands down and never threatens you again.
The world is encouraged by Ukraine’s courage, tenacity and agility. In this 21st Century civilized world, how can one man and his army be allowed to bomb; burn and destroy a whole country; obliterate, terrorize and kill its people; with the rest of the world watching and not stopping such a carnage immediately? This invasion is not about Ukraine joining NATO or EU and neither is it about Nazis in Ukraine nor is it even about Russia’s Security. Stop the lies; there is no need for de-Nazification of Ukraine. It’s even dumb offering such an excuse for Russia’s invasion. President Biden said, Putin has the gall to say he’s
de-Nazifying Ukraine. It’s a lie. It’s just cynical. He knows that. And it’s also obscene.
President Zelenskyy was democratically elected. He’s Jewish. His father’s family was wiped out in the Nazi Holocaust. And Putin has the audacity, like all autocrats before him, to use Nazis as excuse for his invasion of Ukraine. Vladimir Putin ought to be ashamed of himself.
A more humbling story waits to be told of the ongoing barbaric acts of terrorism, brutality and viciousness of the invading army; an army, of about 200,000 Russian troops, sent by a ruthless dictator to wage war on its border neighbor. Such hostility between two sovereign nations with a common border between them is a pretense to delegitimize the efforts of self-determination, freedom and prosperity of an independent Ukraine from Russia. This must never happen again.
I am deeply hurt by Russia’s horrific acts of savagery in Ukraine. Even as many Russians as detest Putin’s invasion of their border neighbor, there is nothing much they can do. Russia is not a Democracy. Russian is an autocracy and autocracies in general don’t tell the truth to their people because they’re afraid of dissent. Remember, there’s no dissention or opposition in autocratic societies, else you risk being poisoned. My sincere condolences go to all Ukrainians, Ukraine’s military and most especially, those who have paid the ultimate price with their lives defending their Homeland. Emmanuel shall come to thee, O Ukraine.
These terrible loses brought upon your nation and your people by the Russian strongman and his army will never stand, never define you, never be forgiven and never be forgotten. The strength and character of your people stand a proud testament to your bravery, your resolve and your resilience. Good people around the world stand with you in victory; protecting your people and safeguarding
