INTRODUCTION
Arguably one of the most misunderstood topics of discussion in the body of Christ is The Gates of Hell. Many questions are asked presumptuously about gates, such as what they are, where they are and how do we keep them closed? Just the topic alone intrigues and draws students of the word of God as well as psychiatrists, scientists, other religions, and non-believers. Gates raise eyebrows for a generation with inquisitive natures fascinated by mysteries, secrets, and hidden knowledge. The unknown has always been the vehicle that drives us into exploring our aspirations.
Knowledge is life and light, and it is light that elicits all walks of life. Animals and bugs are drawn to light. Light gives life to our vegetation by way of something we scientifically know as photosynthesis. We are truly no different than plants since our true-life source is contributed to light. We, as consumers of energy, have learned to harness the power of sunlight with solar panel technology to benefit us economically and socially. This technology is new to our generations. However, this technology we use today is antiquated. God started creation with light. In Genesis chapter one and in verse three God allowed us to see for the first time that his resolution to darkness was himself.
King James Version
Genesis 1
3 And God said, Let there be light: And there was light.
Light personifies the embodiment of his nature, there is no star in our stratosphere that can emulate him. The sun with all its radiance cannot be compared to His brilliance. In the King James version of the Bible,
King James Version
John 1
5 The light shines in darkness and the darkness comprehends it not.
Darkness desired to be a dictator, but Jesus (light) became the dichotomy that dispelled darkness. He made up the difference so we would not be distanced from him. Jesus is light, our sunlight is an expression of him, and Jesus give us, the nutrients that continue to nurture us spiritually, emotionally, and physically.
Interestingly, I understand why God opened the first Gate that hell could not prevail against; the first gate was light. Why did he say let there be light? Nothing in the heavens or in the earth travels faster than light. Light is not the totality of Jesus’ being, it is only a dimension of his being. He gave light a responsibility before time ever began. In the book of Psalms in chapter twenty-seven and verse one God allowed us to become spiritual geologists. He revealed his landscaped redemptive plan through the sacred scriptures we read and study today. The writer captivated our attention with his revelation and understanding of the essences of light.
King James Version
Psalms 27
1 He said the Lord is my light and my salvation.
God revealed his supremacy as Lord through light; light became the saving agent that brought us freedom, liberty, and preservation. Without a pure light source, we will cease to exist. Why? We do not have the essentials for growth without light. Plants understand the importance of light. While the attributes of water and soil are extremely important, they are not the main source; the most significant source for a plant’s strength and growth is their dependency on the nutrients that is released through sunlight. Photosynthesis demonstrates the processes of a plant’s life, as it assimilates and use of light. I genuinely believe with all our prestigious colleges and scientific facilities, scholastically, we are still students and plants are the scholars.
Plants are extraordinary specimens. Have you ever considered how a seed is programmed? Where the seed understands that it only have one true purpose, to produce after its own kind when it is planted. The seed know the significances of its own life, and learn how to co-habitat with the soil and the sun. It truly appear that seeds understand how important relationships are. How does a plant know when to spring forth? Who taught the tree to continually produce fruit in its season? Creation understands its creator. Plants do not have a way of verbalizing their concerns to us in English, but they have a language, and we need an interpreter to comprehend their language. If sunrays from the sun enter a windowpane and a plant happen to be on the other side of the room, that plant will alter its position in the room to turn where the light entering into the room. Plants not only appear to acknowledge light (Jesus), but they also appear to reverence God by the way they posture themselves in the light. The life of a plant was so significant that Jesus taught his disciples the truth about trusting God through the life of a Lillie. In the book of Matthew, it states in,
The king James Version
Matthew 28
²⁸ "So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; ²⁹ and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not [a]arrayed like one of these."
Surely plants understand and know how to relax and bask in the presence of light (Jesus). Plant’s respect and revere light because they spend a season in darkness. A seed dies in darkness only to resurrect in light in a matured state.
The King James Version
Mark 4
27 And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how.
28 For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.
You never see a farmer mourning over a seed he planted, he know and understand that the seed will not stay in the same state it is planted in. Respectfully we are truly no different than plants, we start off the same way during conception. Babies are not conceived in light; we were conceived in darkness, but we were planned in the light. After we are planted or sown, we begin to develop into an embryo, the last stage of our development is the fetal stage. The fetal stage is where we develop our hands, feet and facial features. There is a reason that we are developed in three trimesters. Every part of creation started with the triune of heaven, The Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit.
King James Version
Genesis 1
26 And God said Let us make man in our image after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over the earth, and over everything that creepeth upon the earth.
Notice the emphasis it’s on the word US God left three things in this earth according to the triune of heaven God as The father, The Son, The Holy Spirit our existence started with the triune And God said Let us make man in our image. God started with a man, when mankind sinned against God. In Genesis chapter three,
King James Version
Genesis 3
1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the women, Yea hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
2 And the women said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
3 But of the fruit of the tree, which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall we touch it, lest ye die.
4 And the serpent said unto the women, Ye shall not surely die:
5 For God know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
6 And when the women saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
7And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
You may ask the question; how could Adam and Eve allow themselves to be polluted. They had a perfect relationship with God. Why; would God desire to re-establish a relationship with us and redeem us back to himself. Here is one reason, we were created in his image and likeness according to the book of Genesis.
King James Version
Genesis 1
26 And God said Let us make man in our image after our likeness.
In order for God to reclaim what was lost (mankind), he had to become a man to redeem mankind. He took the form of a seed first, in the book of Genesis.
King James Version
Genesis 3
15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thee and the women, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shall bruise his heel.
God revealed unto us in this passage of scripture, that the battle for dominion in the earth would be established again through the life of one seed (Jesus). Naturally when a seed fully develops it have the potential to release pollen so that other species of plant life can live. Could it be possible that God is using your life as the pollination to release life so that other people can develop. Jesus explained to his apostle God redemptive plan from the prospective of him being the
