    Sleep apnea is a temporary cessation of breathing during sleep. It is a very serious sleep disorder that often occurs during sleep. People diagnosed with sleep apnea can stop breathing for extended periods of time and repeatedly too, during sleep. What this means is that during the times you can’t breathe, your brain and your body fails to get enough or no oxygen. You can imagine what could happen and yes, it does happen. Have you ever heard: He went to sleep and failed to wake up? Perhaps, this is a condition I know too well. I will let you in on my situation then and how apnea was conquered.

    There were lots of changes to be made to a lifestyle especially with food consumption. Soon, some pounds were lost and naturally, the snoring stopped. You can stop apnea too. The killer that lurks around while you sleep and snore.  I know I was not the only person who has faced this problem—snoring. The intent is- hopefully, my experience will help you get rid of the snoring problem.

    I was a healthy man in my mid-forties. I have a regular 9-5 job. I live in small house together with my wife and our kids. One year ago my life was great. I was the epitome of health. I was invincible. I had a loving wife; a good job and the kids were in high school and college. What could possibly go wrong, I thought to myself?

    And then, something went very wrong. I still remember the day it all started. My wife woke me up in the dead of the night. I was snoring loudly.  What else can I do but go back to sleep. So, I did. I did not pay much attention to the whole problem. It was minor. A lot of people I know snored. Some of my friends snored. All I can do is switch
