You don’t need to be a graphics artist to make a very attractive E-Book Cover. You can make your own with the tools already on your computer desktop. You didn’t hire a professional editor and you didn’t hire a professional agent. Why hire someone to make your cover for you? Let me show you how.
The two things you will need are Internet Explorer and a Word Program, such as Microsoft Word 2010 (it’s a good investment if you’re going to be writing for profit). Beyond these two software programs, you don’t need anything else except a color printer and a scanner.

Introduction
This book is unique in that it is two books in one. The first section of this book shows you step by step how to create your own Paperback book cover using the tools provided by Amazon, for free.
If you intend to create both the Paperback version and the Kindle version of your book, start with the Paperback version first and then use the conversion utilities in the Paperback publisher to complete your Kindle version. This way you only have to edit the document once, covert it to kindle and you’re good to go.
The second section starts on Chapter 7 with Your Graphic Arts Tools
and talks about how to create a book cover for Kindle without creating the Paperback cover and downloading the converted one for Kindle.
If you don’t intend to create a Paperback version of your book, then go directly to Chapter 7 and proceed from there.
Another option is to create a Paperback for publication and just download the converted cover for Kindle without ever finalizing the Paperback version, but that would be a waste.
