About this audiobook

For Sophie Ducel, her honeymoon in French Polynesia was intended as a celebration of life. For Barry Bleecker, the same trip was meant to mark a new beginning, turning away from his dreary existence in Manhattan finance to seek creative inspiration. But when their small plane is downed in the middle of the South Pacific, the sole survivors of the wreck are left with one common goal: survival.

What our readers think

Readers find this title to be a fantastic and beautiful book that is both compelling and endearing. The narration is excellent and the descriptions of the environment, events, and characters are quite good. Although there was a disappointment with the direction the author chose, the rest of the book was loved and enjoyed by many. The story is about so much more than a typical castaway story, and the characters of Sophie and Barry, along with their mesmerizing storytelling, leave a lasting impression. Overall, this book is highly recommended and will be remembered for a long time.

This book was almost perfect. There was a big chunk of the story left out at the end and you’ll know what I’m talking about if you read it. I was sooo disappointed he didn’t write about it but the rest of the book was fantastic and I will probably buy it anyway.

This was such a beautiful book and it was about so much more than a typical castaway story. I loved Sophie and Barry. My favorite part of the book was when they told stories about how they would have met if things were different - I was mesmerized by their story telling and couldn't stop smiling! The narration was excellent. I will be thinking about Sophie and Barry for a long time.
