At THE 2023 North of England Gloster Club show, I was asked for my opinion of the winning birds and the overall quality of the present-day Gloster.

The two leading exhibits - the corona and consort shown by Neil Burton and Paul Reay - were excellent examples of the Gloster. The corona in particular had good feather which allowed the colour and markings to be displayed to perfection. Type and overall size were in keeping with the standard and not too extreme to put the bird out of balance.
