Spotting an empty seat on the train as I headed home from work, I made a beeline for it.

As I sat down, I put my headphones in and drifted off into my own world.

Barely noticed when someone sat down opposite me.

Only, seconds later, I realised he was trying to talk to me.

Pulling out my headphones, I apologised.

‘No worries,’ he smiled. ‘I’m Darren.’

It wasn’t like me to chat to random blokes on the train. But there was something about Darren.
