• Kingston Repair Cafe returns to Redeemer Lutheran Church at 104 Wurts St., Kingston, Saturday, Jan. 14, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Everyone is invited to get their beloved but broken items fixed for free by volunteer coaches who are also their neighbors. • UlsterCorps will honor volunteers from service organizations throughout Ulster County with a special Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration on Saturday, Jan. 14, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Rosendale Recreation Center at 1055, state Route 32, Rosendale. • The Center for Photography at Woodstock’s latest exhibition, “Race, Love and Labor (an excerpt),” runs from Jan. 14 to March 19, at 474 Broadway, Kingston. An opening reception will be held on Jan. 14, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Featured artists include Endia Beal, William Cordova, LaToya Ruby Frazier, Tommy Kha, Deana Lawson, Pixy Liao, Dawit Petros, Paul Mpagi Sepuya, Xaviera Simmons, and Joanna Tam. • Robert Burke Warren, with special guests Rhett Miller, John Gullo and Frank McGinnis, presents a special tribute to David Bowie at Colony Woodstock at 22 Rock City Road, Woodstock, on Saturday, Jan. 14, at 8 p.m. The performance comes just a couple of days after Bowie, a former Woodstock resident who died in 2016, would’ve turned 75. •  Piano, violin and oboe trio Ensemble Schumann will perform at the Saugerties United Methodist Church at 67 Washington Ave Sunday, Jan. 15, at 3 p.m. in the first Saugerties Pro Musica concert of 2023. Tom Gallant, (oboe) Steve Larson, (violin) and Sally Pinkas, (piano), will perform works by Beethoven, Arthur Foote, Michael White, and Charles Loeffler in this free concert. • Morton Yoga classes with instructor Kristin DiSpaltro take place Wednesdays in January from 12 to 1 p.m. at the Morton Memorial Library, 82 Kelly St., Rhinecliff. Drop-ins welcome. $12 suggested donation. (845) 876-2903.

• Rhinecliff Grange No. 896 will hold its sixth annual Winter Bonfire, consisting of the burning of Christmas trees, at the Firemen’s Field in Rhinecliff on Saturday, Jan. 28, starting at 4 p.m. The event ends when the last tree goes into the fire. Trees can be dropped off at the field by the parking area. Trees must be cleared of decorations. Holiday trees from the Rhinecliff Protective Fire District can also be picked up from residents’ homes. Attendees must provide their own sticks to roast marshmallows.

• Boy Scout Troop No. 8 in Sawkill will have a spaghetti dinner on Friday, Jan. 13, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Sawkill Fire Department, 896 Sawkill Road, Town of Kingston. Additional dinners are scheduled for Fridays, Feb. 10, March 10 (eggplant for Lent) and April 14 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the fire department.

• Saugerties Pro Musica will present its first concert of the new year on Sunday, Jan. 15, at 3 p.m. with a performance by Ensemble Schuman, a piano trio, at the Saugerties United Methodist Church, 67 Washington Ave., Saugerties. The group consists of Sally Pinkas on piano, Tom Gallant on oboe and Steve Larson on violin. The program will include works by Beethoven, Arthur Foote, Michael White, and Charles Loeffler. Admission is free. Masks and social distancing are suggested but not required. • Richard’s Rhinecliff Acoustic Show featuring Greg Douglas, Ann Teed, Phil Miller and Pat Lamanna will take place at the Morton Memorial Library, 82 Kelly St., Rhinecliff, on Friday, Jan. 20, from 8 to 10:30 pm. Donations suggested. (845) 876-7007.

• The United Reformed Church at 9 Church St., Bloomington hosts Heavenly Soups to Go on Jan. 20, from 3-6 p.m. The cost is $5 for soup and a roll.

• Lifespring: Saugerties Adult Learning Community’s Winter 2023 programming continues with February mini-courses to be held on Wednesday mornings, Feb. 1 and 8, 2023. These two-session courses are open to anyone interested in attending. All winter programs are free and will be held online via Zoom with prior registration required. • Comedy headliner Linda Belt will be appearing at the Saugerties Performing Arts Center, on Friday, Feb. 3 at 9 p.m. as part of the three-day Saugerties Snow Moon Festival. The show will be held after the moonlight market, indoors, at SPAF. • Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox’s Life in The Past Lane returns to the Bardavon, 35 Market St., Poughkeepsie, on Thursday, March 30, at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $49. Members get $5 off. • People’s Place, in partnership with Institute for Animal Happiness, has brought back the Happy Cart to the parking lot at 17 Saint James St., Kingston, every Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. The Happy Cart offers plant-based food to the community to taste and is free.
