CUNY has been officially dubbed a research powerhouse. 10 CUNY Colleges designated as leading research institutions by the Carnegie Foundation and the American Council on Education. The CUNY Graduate Center retains its Research 1 status, and Hunter College joins City College as Research 2 for the first time. CBS’s “Sunday Morning” Profiles Work of Brooklyn College Psychology Professor

In a recent CBS News interview on child prodigies, Brooklyn College psychology professor Jennifer Drake shares her insights on the “rage to master” that most child prodigies share in their quest to perfect their work. Drake, who is conducting a major study of art prodigies, highlights the artwork of four-year-old August Gardener, who is a part of her study. Check out the story here.

Queens College Professor featured on CBS’s “Saturday Morning” show

CBS News recently profiled Queens College Professor and archaeologist Tom Plummer, who found blades and tools in Kenya, which are believed to be more than 3 million years old.
