Create a textural wreath by incorporating different types of moss, such as Spanish moss, preserved forest moss, and dried tree lichen.

To make: Cover a 12- to 16-inch foam wreath form with clumps of moss and lichen, attaching with hot-glue. Glue tiny bits of moss and lichen around the stems of mini white pumpkins, then secure to the wreath with floral pins and wire.

Poke holes in top of wreath for ears. Bend wire to make ear shapes, and insert into wreath form. Wrap wire ears with ribbon, using hot glue to secure. Add orange burlap bow.

Keep the blood suckers away with a wreath fashioned from fresh garlic cloves (you can use artificial garlic if you want to keep the wreath from year to year).

To make: Start by hot gluing moss to a wooden wreath form. Next glue garlic cloves, root side out, on top of the moss. Hang using a piece of natural jute ribbon.

To make: Start by spray painting a grapevine wreath black. Allow to dry. Attach small wooden scarecrows (alternately you can cut them out of cardboard and paint them black) with hot glue. Loop a length of striped or grosgrain ribbon through the wreath to hang.

To make: Start by spray painting the metal lid from a large-mouth canning jar black. Next, spray paint a handful of plastic bugs whatever color you want. Next, hot glue 12 black chopsticks, evenly spaced, to the center of the metal circle with a good amount of hot glue and let dry.

Taking a 17-inch length of cotton rope or string, wrap it around the chopstick once and continue to the next and wrap it around until you have gone around all the chopsticks. Hot glue the end where you glued the beginning and trim the excess rope. Take another length of rope about five inches more than the previous and repeat about an inch-and-a-half away from the previous circle of rope. Repeat until you get to the end of the chopsticks. Add your painted bugs in the center with hot glue, as well as a few spiders on the outside of the web.

Plaid shirts and autumn leaves go together like Thanksgiving and turkey! We love the idea of celebrating both of those fall staples in one cheerful wreath.

Make the wreath: Trace leaf stencils onto double-stick fusible webbing, then fuse them to plaid fabric and cut out leaf shapes. Next, fuse the cutout leaves to felt, and cut out once more. Finally, wrap a foam wreath form with ribbon and attach the leaves with push-pins or hot glue, mixing the plaid and felt sides. Hang with a strip of plaid fabric.

An all-black wreath? We normally wouldn't dream of it, but on Halloween, anything goes! This witchy craft is anything but welcoming, but it'll delight all the trick-or-treaters in town.

Make the wreath: Cut 150 6-inch-long strips of 2-inch-wide black grosgrain ribbon. Fold the strips in half and attach them to a 16-inch foam wreath form with straight pins, layering them on top of each other to create a ruffle effect. Cut out a silhouette of a witch from black kraft paper. Attach it to the center of a 16-inch round clear piece of acrylic with double-sided tape. Hot-glue the edges of the acrylic round to the back of the wreath form. Finish with a bow with long tails.

Make the wreath: Tie six pieces of white string across a 14-inch foam wreath form, making sure to loop each one at the midway point of the first piece attached to create a central point. (This is the base of the web and should have 12 “spokes.”) Tie a long piece of string to the center point; weave and loop from the center out to create the web. If you run out of string, tie another piece to the end and continue weaving. When you reach the wreath form, tie off at your ending point. Move the twine up and down to create uneven gaps in the web.

Wrap the wreath form with white burlap ribbon and attach faux spiders with hot-glue. Loop a piece of white burlap ribbon around the form to hang.
