Honor the arrival of apple-picking season by crafting a wreath dotted with multiple varieties of fall's most popular fruit! Start by gathering your materials.
You will need:
- 2-inch jute webbing ribbon with red stripes
- 18-inch grapevine wreath form
- Wired wood picks
- A variety of apples (we used Sugarbees, Rockits, Fuji, Honeycrisp, and Cosmic Crisp)
- Floral wire
- Boxwood sprigs
- Red Hypericum berri
To craft the wreath, wrap a length of ribbon around the wreath form (the length will be determined by where on your door you want the wreath to sit). Hang the wreath, either on the door or elsewhere where you can craft it from a hanging position.
Poke the flat end of a wood pick into an apple, making sure it does not go all the way through the apple. Then, poke the pointy end of the wood pick in between the vines on the wreath, securing the apple to the wreath form. Repeat as needed until the wreath is fully covered. Note: Think about poking the apples in different places so that they sit facing different directions.
Once the wreath form is fully covered in apples, use floral wire to attach sprigs of boxwood and bundles of red Hypericum berries throughout.
