Computer Hardware Inc., provides Electronic Recycling, Data Security, and Pollution Prevention. “We are striving to help people & organizations that are seeking to  minimize their hazardous waste liability and reduce electronic equipment in the landfill”.  Our recycling program has been set in place for the Tri-City area. Any individual or business that would like to take advantage of this Recycling Program should bring electronic equipment into any of the Computer Hardware locations. Computer Hardware will be weighing the electronic equipment and charging for transportation costs. Charges are as follows.

.79 per pound for all Electronics, TVs, Monitors, or other devices.

Electronic Recycling is available at all of our locations along with certified data destruction.

Why Recycle?

The reason why electronic items should be recycled properly as many of those devices contain potentially toxic materials, such as lead and mercury that, when buried in a landfill can leech from those old monitors, circuit boards, cellphones into the groundwater. Most electronic devices, such as units that contain CRTs or cathode ray tubes, can contain as much as five pounds of lead.

What About My Data?

An old computer, hard drive, phone, iPad, or tablet you choose to recycle could potentially have identifiable information or even secure personal information. We understand that choosing to recycle comes with questions about your personal data that you may not have cleared off and that’s okay! Computer Hardware offers a Certificate of Data Destruction for your recycled electronics. Got an old Mac you haven’t used in years but are worried about your personal information still being on it? No worries, we will destroy any data left on the computer and send you a certificate in the mail afterward!

A Certificate of Data Destruction is not required when recycling electronics but is an option for customers who want it. Checking in an electronic for a Certificate of Data Destruction has a non-refundable deposit of $35.
