Coloradoan correction policy
If an error is included in a story that runs in print, we will correct the error in the next daily edition following the discovery of the error. Corrections are placed on Page 2A of the printed edition.
If an error is included in a story that is published online, corrections will be made immediately following the discovery of an error. Corrections will be noted at the bottom of a story.
We will correct factual errors, misspellings of names, and anything that compromises the accuracy of a story.
Grammatical or punctuation errors will be fixed in the text itself, but will not be listed as a correction.
Clarifications are used to provide further understanding to a point in a story that was unclear to readers. A clarification is not used to correct an inaccuracy. Clarifications will be published in the same manner as corrections.
