In news that will shock no one, Roma has officially sacked Ivan Juric. Hired after Daniele De Rossi's surprising dismissal in September, Juric struggled to, well, to do much of anything. In 12 matches in charge of the Giallorossi, Juric managed a 4-3-5 (W-D-L) record while sporting a -1 goal differential. Combine that with his questionable lineup choices and the players' lingering loyalty to De Rossi, and Juric never stood a chance.
So swift was his dismissal, the club could barely cobble together a complete paragraph, dismissing Juric in a terse 58-word statement:
We would like to thank Ivan Juric for his hard work these past weeks.
He handled a difficult environment with the utmost professionalism, and for that we are grateful. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
The search for a new head coach has already begun and we expect an announcement in the coming days.
If their past two managerial dismissals were any indication, look for the club to announce their new manager/sucker by Tuesday.
