Offered for sale is a set of two lovely hand-painted four-panel folding screen room dividers painted in the Neoclassical style.
With architectural accents, the screen has a floral and urn motif on a pedestal design set against a gold wall backdrop.
The style is a soft lyrical interpretation of a formal style. The back is a solid color and is signed as hand-painted for Maitland Smith. The measurements given are fully extended, flat. Also given are the measurements when folded. The screen is in two pieces and can be displayed as desired.
The detail and artisanship of this screen was painstaking and unquestionably second to none. Fabulous addition to a sophisticated interior sure to make a loud and BOLD Statement. Amongst the best created by Maitland Smith. A behemoth room divider in excellent vintage condition.
The size stated is for one of the 2 panel pieces but the set two of them.
