This is not surprising, given how the current rules of polite educated discourse focus entirely on the complainant's subjective state of mind ("I felt unsafe!") and not on whether that the accused did is in fact offensive.

This is not surprising, given how the current rules of polite educated discourse focus entirely on the complainant's subjective state of mind ("I felt unsafe!") and not on whether that the accused did is in fact offensive.
Not only that, but once a member of an approved victim class makes an accusation, the burden of proof falls to the accused to prove they didn't do anything wrong, in other words, to prove a negative. This is a game that the accused can rarely win, which is why the Zionist lobby choose to play it.
That said, those who rule over us care nothing for our clever word games, our cute memes, our tightly reasoned arguments or close readings of texts. They know full well that they are hypocrites. They do not care, any more than the schoolyard bully cares about your witty insults, as long as he still can smash your face in.
the state of mind of Palestinian students is not of any interest at all, even though some student have apparently been killed for being Palestinian. Did you see that video of Columbia's president being interrogated by a Christian Zionist? he asked her if she was aware that she was risking bringing down the wrath of God on the college by allowing the Gaza protect camp to exist, and she meekly replied "no". Then he asked if she wanted that to happen, and again she meekly replied "no". there you have it, oppose genocide and Jehovah will smite your ass, yay verily even unto the Halls of Ivy.
These 'congress hearings' are mostly for show - to be used as sound bites by the media and whomever else wishes to use these acts to further their agendas. (Same thing with all the Big Tech hearings, etc.)
What really disgusts me is that the President of Columbia, an intelligent person, purposedly plays along with the game - acting meek and pretending to be intimidated, flustered, etc. If this was really her level of argumentation/reasoning/confidence, she would never have made it to the position of 'president of Columbia'.
Think about it, if you were the president of Columbia, is this the best you could do?
Sad but true. The lies and spin are so blatant. I have never witnessed this to such an outrageous extent before. I hope that with so much live coverage of the atrocities in Palestine, at least, we must reach a tipping point where the truth has to be admitted. Anything else is both absurd and unconscionable.

So very true! (Not just in this instance, but in other areas of life as well)
The "I felt unsafe" complaint only seems to apply to Zionists who don't like opposition to their behaviour. Other people who feel unsafe are not even heard. Like people forced to live in tents, women who are abused by men, addicts whose drug supply might kill them, Palestinians.

The irony being that the Christian Right normally has zero cultural influence. In fact, they happen to be favorite whipping boys most of the time.
Just they happen to be convenient ATM.
100% … any treaty with Israel is a one sided treaty
What I am interested in:
I watched today as Armenian (Israelis) were marched out of their houses. I don't know what happened next because the video was short.
IF Christians (white) think that Israel is going to protect them??????????
yeah i saw a video about that I think, they had been there for a thousand years and it was some kind of religious site.
Forced sterilization of black African Israelis!
No prejudice there….

Dear Jane.
When the ICJ in the court of The Hague has to take days to come to a conclusion......whether this is GENOCIDE we are completely screwed.
Meanwhile the GENOCIDE goes on with the pontificating ICJ takes their time owned by the USA.

"I felt unsafe" =/= "I am unsafe".
