Savor the Bronx is back and better than ever.
While the event has been on hiatus for a few years, the Bronx Tourism Council and the Office of Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson have decided it is time for it to return. Taking place from Feb. 18-23, 2025, the restaurant week is an opportunity for all Bronx eateries to take part in.
With storefronts in the Bronx being taken up largely by restaurants, according to the New York Times, the “flavors of the Bronx” are diverse as ever. The old-school Italian food on Arthur Avenue and the myriad of Hispanic food varieties available in the borough are just a few examples of that.
All kinds of restaurants in the Bronx — big or small, and any kind of food — are invited to apply to Savor the Bronx. There is no fee to take part in the event; all the restaurants are asked to offer is a prix fixe menu. Some restaurants that have already signed up have chosen to offer a discount on their entire menu, which is also acceptable. The prix fixe menu or discount does not need to apply to tax or beverages. The deadline application is coming up on Jan. 31, 2025.
The Bronx Tourism Council aims to increase tourism in the borough, and restaurants play a significant role in tourism. Late February tends to be a time in which less people eat out; we strongly encourage all residents and visitors of the borough to explore new restaurants during Savor the Bronx. Not only will you get to have some delicious food, but you’ll get a deal on it.
So far, a diverse group of restaurants have signed up to take part in the restaurant week. Some are casual eateries, some are fancy — and they’re all delicious.
