Elmo Went On A (Play) Date With Amelia From "Chicken Shop Date," And I Wasn't Expecting This Kind Of Sass From A 3.5-Year-Old

Amelia: "It's just cool that we're both Aquarius'. Don't you think that's such a cool coincidence?" 

Elmo: "It's a very cool coincidence if Elmo knew what that meant." *Stares directly into the camera*

Amelia: "I think you're moving too much."

Elmo: Okay. *Stays perfectly still* 

Amelia: "That was a lot of hand movements there."

Elmo: "How about this?" *Continues to stay still*

Amelia: "Now it's strange."

Elmo: "Now it's awkward."

Amelia: "It's interesting because I've been persistently trying to get him on Chicken Shop Date."

Elmo: "Ah, well... Elmo thinks you could use a word called 'patience,' right?"

Amelia: "If you had to do a sport in the Olympics, which one would it be?"

Elmo: "Elmo likes swimming a lot."

Amelia: "Really?"

Elmo: "Why did you say 'really' like that?"

Amelia: "Well, I can't really imagine you in a swimming pool."

Elmo: "You can't? Imagine it."

Amelia: "Oh, look. Rocco is here."

Elmo: "No, he's not."

Amelia: "Yeah, Rocco is right in front of you."

Elmo then looks down and rolls his eyes.

Elmo: "Are you kidding?" *Looks at the camera crew* "Who brought Rocco?"

Amelia: "I thought you brought Rocco?"

Elmo does a huge sigh.

Amelia: "Can you pass this love note to Rocco?"

Elmo: "What does it say?"

Amelia: "It says, 'You rock.'"

Elmo: "That's cute."

Elmo: "Elmo thinks you're in your head too much. You're a wonderful person. You're kind, you're funny, you're smart, you're beautiful. Just accept love. It's very important."

Elmo told her there's always room for love — but that maybe you shouldn't take advice from a 3-and-a-half-year-old monster on love. He's got a point, but Amelia said she was desperate.
