If the prospect of a new Harry Potter adaptation has you raising your wand, you're not alone. HBO has promised a multi-episode series that's faithful to the books, giving us muggles more time to experience the wizarding world.

During my re-read of the books last year, I came across a ton of magical moments that didn't make it into the (still very iconic) movies. I decided to ask the BuzzFeed community what they want from a fresh adaptation — and the Potterheads answered!

From house elves to Horcruxes, here are the storylines you hope to see in HBO's upcoming Harry Potter series:

    1. "PEEVES! And all of Harry’s snarky comments like 'there’s no need to call me sir, Professor.'"

    2. "I want to see everything! There will be multiple episodes per book, so I hope they don't leave out anything. I definitely want to see Peeves..."

    3. "I really loved the whole Quidditch aspect of the books, but we didn't see as much of it in the later movies. I hope that in this new adaptation, Quidditch plays a bigger role in Harry's on-screen life."

    — Ariel, MI

    4. "I hope we can see St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries [which explains] why Neville is the way he is and how his parents are heroes."

Neville Longbottom in the movies and the books

    5. "I hope the TV show includes more of the other Weasley siblings. Percy and Bill have some of my favorite subplots."

    — slrasnake

    6. "I need [Nearly Headless Nick's] Deathday Party from the second book."

    — flower_zodiac222

    7. "I'm going to need a whole flashback episode of Voldemort's backstory, please."

    — kuddelmuddel

    8. "I hope we get more of the small, comical characters such as Sir Cadogan, the portrait that replaces the Fat Lady with for a short time in the third book. Also, leaving out Hermione's S.P.E.W. efforts would be a crime!"

Dobby in the movies and Winky in the books

    9. "Please, please, please, I beg you, explain the origins of the Marauder's Map, who the Marauders are, and why Harry's patronus is a stag."

    — Anonymous

    10. "The story behind the Horcruxes. The movies made them seem like random objects and diminished just how difficult it was for Dumbledore to figure out what they were and then for them to be found."

    — amandag4fe9e4ba0

    11. "Harry becoming godfather to Teddy Lupin!"

    — Anonyomus

    12. "Give us the history behind the Marauder's Map. In the movie, they never mention that Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs are, in fact, Remus Lupin, Peter Pettigrew, Sirius Black, and James Potter. This is such a huge omission and one of my favorite plots when I first read the series."

    13. "I would like to see Dumbledore ask calmly... ['Harry, did you put your name in the Goblet of Fire?']"

    — perfect11617

    14. "Kreacher's redemption! And while we're at it, the whole slavery of the house elves storyline. They were either left out completely or barely mentioned. It cheapened the Battle of Hogwarts."

    — Anonymous

    15. "I hope we see Crookshanks’ role in The Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry giving Triwizard Tournament winnings to Fred and George, and most importantly, Winky the house elf!"

    — Nicole, TX

    16. "I'd like to see more of Firenze the centaur, Harry's romantic strife with Cho, and the childhood backstory of Lily, Petunia and Snape."

Aunt Petunia in the movies and Petunia, Lily and Snape as children in the books

    17. "I'd like to see the plotline about Rita Skeeter being an animagus."

    — Heather, PA

    18. "Let's see Sybill Trelawney throw the crystal balls at Death Eaters. Let's cheer on the many who show up to fight alongside the students and teachers of Hogwarts. Let's hear Harry explain it ALL to Tom Riddle in the Great Hall. We have waited years for that explanation and we deserve every word. I'm looking forward to it all!"

    — Candace, MD

    19. "Give Ginny more screentime! She is an awesome character in the books, shown as a powerful witch with more personality."

    20. "I would like to see Peeves the poltergeist and can’t believe he wasn’t in the films. Same with Winky the house elf!"

    — Rachel, Wales

    21. "I'd really like to see the Gaunts make it into the show. Voldemort's back story is so important to his character, especially knowing he was conceived with a love potion. I'd also love to see the scene where Arthur Weasley and Lucius Malfoy fight each other in Flourish and Blotts in The Chamber of Secrets. It's also worth seeing when Dudley tells Harry he isn't a waste of space in the last book."

    22. "Harry's feisty and scrappy side. He had several out-of-pocket one-liners in the book. Also, I hope we are shown more of his PTSD and anger in Order of the Phoenix. His temper was downplayed in the films, as was the effect of being in the Triwizard Tournament and being dragged through the media."

    23. "We need to see Percy Wesley's estrangement from his family and his whole redemption arc."

    24. And finally, "The fact that the Weasley twins bewitched snowballs to bounce off the back of Quirrell's head… AKA, Voldemort’s face."
