Smith, Elizabeth M. ‘Betty’ (Kelley) Of Somerville formerly of South Boston passed away peacefully on October 8, 2024. Beloved wife of Emmet F ‘Frank’. Smith. Devoted mother of Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Roche, Thomas Smith Sr., Diane Smith, the late Emmet F. Smith III, Barry T. Smith, Kelley A Smith Snell, Barbara J. (Smith) Hennelly, Bertrand Taylor, and John Marshall,. Dear sister of Eddie, Eugene, Thomas Kelley, Margaret Plansky, Maureen O’Malley and the late Frank Kelley, Mary ‘Babs’ DiGiacomo, Jimmy Kelley and Kathleen McCarthy. Also survived by many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her grandchildren Mary and Liam. Visitation in the O’Brien Funeral Home, 146 Dorchester St. South Boston on Friday October 11th from 4-8pm. Funeral Mass in St. Ann Church 399 Medford Street Somerville on Saturday October 12th at 11am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
