Megu Fuji 2021

Hotel in Fujiyoshida

Located in Fujiyoshida, within 1.4 miles of Fuji-Q Highland and 4.1 miles of Lake Kawaguchi, Megu Fuji 2021 provides accommodations with a shared lounge and free WiFi throughout the property as well... The guesthouse is very conveniently located, just a short 5 minute walk from the Mt Fuji train station. This is a small facility, a basic modern style four story building, very clean and up to date. The bed was very comfortable, firm mattress with four pillows. They provided complimentary unlimited coffee and teas, and also pijamas with slippers. The staff were welcoming and very helpful. They had a variety of items for purchase such as ramen soups and candles. And they had some rental bicycles available.

Fufu Kawaguchiko

Hotel in Fujikawaguchiko Onsen-kyo, Fujikawaguchiko

Located in Fujikawaguchiko, 3 miles from Lake Kawaguchi, Fufu Kawaguchiko provides accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. From the moment we arrived the hotel took our breath away even before we saw our room. I booked this hotel for my brother's birthday and the staff made this honestly a stay to remember. We used the bikes and went on a bike ride and we had an onsen in our room which was great as my brother has tattoos. The view from our room was beautiful! On the night of our meal our waitress asked to take a picture of us which she then had printed and framed and put on our table for breakfast which was such a lovely memorable touch!

Hananoyado Yumefuji

Hotel in Fujikawaguchiko

Located in Fujikawaguchiko, 1.8 mi from Lake Kawaguchi, Hananoyado Yumefuji features each room with a private garden with a terrace. Kawaguchiko Station is just a 5-minute walk away from the villa. Best stay near fuji. The rooms were large and the location is walkable from the station. We loved the little touches like the Japanese style robes and welcome signs for the room. We played games on our little back deck and looked up at Fuji. The room was so clean and had a great onsen in the bathroom for personal use.

富士山リトリートMUKUten舎 富士宮 MtFuji Retreat MUKUtensha Fujinomiya natural wood retreat hotel

Hotel in Fujinomiya

Located in Fujinomiya, 27 miles from Lake Kawaguchi, 富士山リトリートMUKUten舎 富士宮 MtFuji Retreat MUKUtensha Fujinomiya natural wood retreat hotel has accommodations with a shared lounge, free private parking,... The property was fantastic, one of the best accommodations we have stayed at. The natural aroma of the wood as soon as you enter is instantly soothing, and the private sauna, rain shower and bathtub make for the most relaxing experience with the property being the perfect pit stop in the middle of your trip to unwind. The tatami area upstairs is also great to relax in as it has a view of Mt. Fuji, a balcony and a vinyl player amongst other activities such as board games and reading materials. The complimentary drinks and snacks were delicious and the breakfast every morning was well thought out and presented beautifully with each item being explained to us. I loved the skincare products provided in the bathroom! There was also a gallery/ art exhibition on during our stay which was a nice little addition. Despite having a language barrier (we did not speak any Japanese), we found the whole experience to be seamless from start to finish. The staff were incredibly helpful and arguably took the whole experience to another level! Being anxious about the frequency of local trains, we were able to contact the property prior to our stay to arrange to be picked up from the Shin-Fuji station. After picking us up, Gotou was kind enough to take us sightseeing to some of the local spots (and each one had the most beautiful view of Mt. Fuji which is massive and majestic in person!). Ogushi also looked after everything we needed and answered all our questions - even helping us with maps and recommendations of activities and offering to take us places if we needed! I am a vegetarian and in noting this, Ogushi had already printed out menus (highlighting the vegetarian options) and contacted local restaurants that offer vegetarian options. We got takeaway on the first night and like any other hotel we expected to grab the bag and go inside the room but Ogushi (being the wonderful host she is) had set everything up beautifully on the lounge table for us to enjoy.
