Opened in April 2013 with brand new facilities, Piece Hostel Kyoto is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from JR Kyoto Station. The best hostel that I've ever stayed at, it feels like it's too good to be true, the location is very convenient, if you're travelling places in Kyoto and Osaka. The staff are all friendly and nice people, the lobby is beautiful, very well decorated with nice furniture. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous, everything is new and nice, the bedsheets are so clean and nice, the dorns are so spacious and have space for everything. The only things that I didn't like was that I booked it for one night, should have been two! When I come back to Kyoto, I'm definitely staying in Piece hostel, this really changes the standard of a hostel.

This female-only property is set in the Higashiyama Ward district of Kyoto, CAFETEL Kyoto Sanjo for Ladies is a 4-minute walk from Samurai Kembu Kyoto. Clean, good showers and toilets, small but space was utilized well so it wasn't an issie

Perfect place to stay! The owner was very welcoming and we felt like home. We could leave our luggages until late at night after the check-in. Not so much to say! Just perfect!

A 5-minute walk from Higashiyama Subway Station, Guest House Ga-Jyun features free Wi-Fi at the entire property. The wooden terrace has chairs overlooking the garden. We are small house with 5 rooms. The best breakfast I had in Japan in 1 month. The owner is very friendly, if you're pet lover you'll love Jiro the dog 😍

This 1-star hostel offers a shared kitchen and a concierge service.... Best place to stay in Kyoto by far!!!! The man running this place was an absolute sweetheart!!! He was so kind and hospitable and nervous to make everything perfect for us. We stayed in the mixed female dorm and it was amazing! Super comfortable extremely clean and efficient! The bathroom and shower were awesome as well! The indoor spaces, the kitchen, the living room, the small shrine it was all incredible!! We were offered some cookies, tea, coffee, and even earbuds for free too! 10/10, I would definitely stay there again and recommend this place to everyone!!

A 15-minute walk from Kiyomizu-dera Temple and Yasaka Shrine, Guest House Gojo offers simple and cosy Japanese-style dormitory accommodation with free Wi-fi, futon beds and shared bathrooms. Friendly staff, cool lounge area, comfortable beds--overall a very unique property and a great stay! The dorm style rooms are not very private and there isn't much soundproofing between the rooms, but this was not a problem for me. Wonderful experience!

Attractively located in Kyoto, Guesthouse Go Sign features air-conditioned rooms, a shared lounge and free WiFi. The Guesthouse Go sign is very cozy and traditional! We enjoyed our stay there very much! The place is super clean and includes all the necessary facilities. The host is very kind and helpful! We will definitely come back!

The value for room size was excellent with both traditional beds and a tatami mat room section. The location near the Gion-Shiojo Subway Station puts most of the city at your disposal. 10min walk or less to the hear of the Gion district.
