Citizens are polite, helpful and kind. You can sense the good feeling from the citizens. Even as a foreigner I felt so welcome!
If you are a Love Live -fan Numazu is a must visit. Also to enjoy atmosphere of tiny and pretty japanese city. Everything is close by and cozy!
Strolling around the bay area and visiting bordering towns like Uchiura are perfect for those who enjoy marine life or wants to get a good glimpse of the mount Fuji!

we enjoy numazu most during the sakura season. however, when not in season, we visit only for the eating.
our favorite lunch is at the hama grill adjacent to the deep sea museum in the port area and our favorite dinner is at coos izakaya near the train station and the prezio hotel.
and the freshly cooked fish at the prezio's breakfast was a winner too!

An amazing little town on the Pacific coast, with a bustling market street, beautiful parks and rivers, and apparently also famed in some anime circles. It also has the longest (and possibly the most beautiful) beach in all of Japan, and one of the best spots to watch the sun set over Mt Fuji (if you are lucky with the weather). The best day, in my honest opinion, is a day in summer or early autumn, just after it has rained (or between showers), when the sun comes forth in a spectacular fashion, and you have the setting sun, Mt Fuji with just a little bit of clouds around it, the Japanese Alps on one side, the Pacific on the other, and majestic rainclouds everywhere else. That is a spectacular view that you have to see, and that mere words cannot justify. In order to do so, then come to Numazu, and Senbon Beach! Also great place for couples (and just friends)!

A little jewel right between Mt Fuji and the pacific.
A little jewel right between Mt Fuji and the pacific. Still quite popular with fans of a certain anime, but I would argue that the town is a lot better than that. Friendly people, cosy neighbourhoods, lively market streets, and a beach that is not only the longest in Japan, but perhaps also the most beautiful. In one view, you can see the pacific, the Japanese alps and Mt Fuji. Add a sunset over the mountains, and you have the view of a lifetime (see photo of a decent example). You can get the train to Numazu, or the Shinkansen to nearby Mishima, and from Numazu you are 1h to Mt Fuji or any of the five lakes, or 30 mins to the onsens of Izu.

We stopped by Numazu to check out the Numazu Deep Sea Aquarium. It was pretty interesting, and there seemed to be a lot of nearby fish markets/seafood stores. There was also a lot of "Love Live! Sunshine" stuff in general around the area, so good for fans of the series.

Beautiful and spacious room.
Beautiful location, right next to river.
Friendly staff.
Location close to my favourite food and dessert places like Grandmas.
Location also close to bus stop if you want to enjoy the view and food at Numazu Port or experience the beauty of Uchiura
This is a love hotel. Me and my husband went there to experience what a love hotel means. Big room, great bath and overall pleasant. The guy in the front desk helped us through Google translate
The hotel is located in a very central part of the city, close to the train station. The bedrooms are small, but comfy. Toilet is good and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
