The Boutique Hotel Wellenberg, is a boutique hotel in the heart of Old Town Zurich. Our room, although small, was clean and met all of our needs and the. Ed and pillows were very comfortable. We had a charming view of the city rooftops and porches, with cats scampering everywhere. The included full breakfast was great and delicious. The breakfast staff were very kind. The hotel staff were very helpful. The best thing about this hotel was the location. It was perfect! An easy walk to anywhere in Old Town Zurich, which we found to be very charming. Swiss Chuchi directly across the street from the hotel is a good place for fondue, a little touristy, but fun and our server was fantastic! Most restaurants were closed because it was Sunday. But lots of good shopping in the area, and being that it was Christmas time, most stores were open on Sunday. The Kunsthaus Museum is excellent and a short walk from the hotel. We did have a car and there was a nice parking garage very near the hotel.

Zurich is such a beautiful city and super easy to get around with the trains. Walking through Old Town was amazing—so much charm! The shopping and restaurants were awesome, but the museums really blew me away.

For us Zurich was a 2 night stop between the airport and the mountains. As our visit was in December there was a good variety of Christmas markets. A walk through the Old Town area is recommended The nearby Uetliburg hill gives a lovely view of the mountains which are nearer than we expected, A frequent train operates from an underground part of Zurich main station to Uetliburg but the ticket needs to be for more than the basic two zone city travel ticket. A ticket machine is on the platform.
The SBB railway ticket office at Zurich Airport had helpful staff to sell us a Half Fare Pass and connecting tickets for the rest of our trip. The ticket office at Zurich HB is not easy to find and has long queues.

Zurich can be explored in a minimum of 3 days depending on your likes and fancies. Spend the rest of the time travelling to other cities, towns and attractions, especially the mountains. Zurich can be the base unless you are exploring the whole of CH, then best to stay over along the way.

Zurich is something different, something you should see.
Zurich is something different, something you should see. You can feel the 'old money' vibe. It is different from other european cities - probably because Switzerland has its own approach as they are not in the EU. I felt very comfortable and safe there, most things are of very good quality. At first, it doesn't look like one of the world's financial centers - the city itself is rather calm (but with many enertainment options). I am not 100% sure of that but I tend to think that it is my favourite big European city so far. Perfect blend of modern and traditional factors.

I had a fantastic experience at Motel One Zürich! The hotel's location, just a 10-minute walk from Bahnhofstrasse, was incredibly convenient for exploring the city. The room was comfy and well-appointed, ensuring a restful stay. To top it off, they even arranged a taxi for us from the airport, which was a thoughtful touch. Overall, our stay was lovely, and I couldn't find anything to complain about. I would definitely recommend Motel One Zürich to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in the city.
Located just 3 mins walk away from Zurich hb. Coop supermarket is right beside hotel.
Room was big enough at this price in Switzerland. I like that bath soap are provided in bathroom.
Staffs are extremely welcoming and polite.
Best hotel breakfast I had in my whole trip. Lots of varities and fresh.
There are luggage lockers you can store your bags in until check in, the room was clean and had the basic amenities available, check-in was easy; best thing about the hotel is the location, it's close to the main Zurich train station and easy to get to the city center.
Nice hotel in the city center, strongly recommended for this who need a comfortable, clean hotel with a rich breakfast in downtown Zurich. Everything is essential, but everything you need for a short term stay is there.
