Some notes

  • On Friday, the Chiefs announced that running back Isiah Pacheco (ankle) and defensive end Charles Omenihu (knee) will continue to be held out on Sunday. Both players were limited for the entire practice week and remain on one of the team’s reserve lists.
  • Head coach Andy Reid on the pair returning for next week’s Black Friday game against the Las Vegas Raiders: “We’ll see, but they’re doing great. Yeah, they’re doing great. [They’re] working hard, and we’ll just take it day-by-day as we go on this thing.”
  • Kansas City listed four more players — running back Kareem Hunt (knee), wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster (hamstring), safety Bryan Cook (rib) and defensive back Chamarri Conner (thumb) — on their report this week, but they are all good to go for the game.
  • Hunt and Smith-Schuster continue to receive treatment for lingering issues, while the injuries to Cook and Conner appear to stem from the team’s game against the Bills.
  • The Panthers’ injury report is much longer than Kansas City’s, but they have only ruled one player out for the game: running back Miles Sanders. The Panthers only opened up the practice window for linebacker Amare Barno (knee) on Wednesday, but he is doubtful for the game.
  • Left guard Damien Lewis (illness), outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney (knee) both logged limited practices this week. Lewis is good to go, while Clowney is questionable.
  • Wide receiver Adam Thielen (hamstring) and rookie running back Jonathon Brooks (knee) are both questionable. Thielen’s availability would mark his first game in seven days, and Brooks’ would mark his NFL debut. The indication is that both will play against the Chiefs.
  • Carolina also added kicker Eddy Pineiro (left knee) and outside linebacker DJ Wonnum (quad) to the list on Thursday. They are also questionable. Piniero did not practice on Friday, but head coach Dave Canales said he would play.
