Piglet Learning to Hop Onto the Couch Will Only Work for Cheese

You've likely heard the saying, 'good things come in small packages,' and you'll find that it's especially true when it comes to pets. Our four-legged friends can leave paw prints on our hearts and change our worlds in so many ways, no matter what species they are! On the Internet, there are thousands of heartwarming videos of cats and dogs bonding with their beloved owners, but one popular pig named Petunia is breaking barriers. This piglet acts more like a puppy than a pig!

Although Petunia won't always be a house pet, her adventures being pampered and exploring her home are being documented on her very own TikTok channel, @pooty pig. In this chapter of her escapades, she learns to hop on the couch (and her owner learns that she'll only do it for a piece of cheese).

OMG, what a little cutie! Petunia was infinitely more concerned about getting a bite of cheese than learning a new skill, but I can't say that I blame her. I would also feel more motivated with cheese as a reward! In fact, I think it's snack time...

This little piggy may not have gone to market, but she did learn to hop on the sofa on December 6. At first, I wasn't sure if she'd make the jump with her tiny legs and long body, but she can jump taller than her own height!

"Did I just see a pig fly?" asked one commenter. LOL–I think you did! You could save this video to show to anyone who uses that phrase, and you'll catch them off guard for sure.

Sadly, viewers won't see Petunia the pink piglet fly for very long. She's a sweet and tiny baby pig currently, but it won't be long until she's too big to live in the house. This makes every couch hop and bite of cheese even more special!

Pigs in the House

Depending on your feelings about pigs, having a piglet living in the house could either be a nightmare or a dream come true. As Petunia is proving to her viewers, pigs are easygoing, trainable, and very food-motivated, but they can also be a bit messy! Even though you can potty train a pig, you can't control how large they and their messes become.

Although many folks are misled by the idea of 'teacup pigs,' there isn't truly a miniature pig breed. Some breeds, like pot-bellied pigs, are naturally smaller than others, but no pig stays as small as Petunia is for their entire life. That doesn't mean that they can't live inside your house while they're small, but you need to be prepared to transition them outside eventually!

While they're still piglets, however, you can enjoy plenty of adorable moments like the cheese-filled couch hop that Petunia performed. Soak it in while you can!
