A magnificent gorge trail accessible to all. This route is best done on sunny days and at the end of the day, for more color in the gorges. Return trip on the same route. Please note that the deals shown are for the outward journey only.

Very touristy. A bit crowded. 12 CHF for the entrance. Not to recommend if you want a unique and secluded experience. Beautiful gorge with light blue/grey colored river running through.

The gorge was beautiful with the sunlight hitting the cliffs side. I wished the water was blue but came at the wrong time of year. Easy hike to the other end and back.

We did the aare gorge with my new American girlfriend and my parents. They got along well and became good friends. Also I found all the hidden baby dragons and was really proud. Later I ate an apple at the picnic place. I really like apples. Especially the red ones. The green ones are too sour for me and make my mouth contract.

Exceeded my expectations! Super nice activity to do on a rainy day

I would rate this as easy, not moderate. There are a few steps, but otherwise it is flat.

Beautiful place but very touristy. Entrance to the gorges is 10CH per person. Easy but sometimes narrow path, which makes passages difficult when there are many people. I do not recommend taking the funicular on the way back because it takes longer than going through the gorges.

Fantastic walk through the 1.4 km gorge. It can also be taken back again. Come early as many people get up in the morning. I did the trip down from the town of Meiringen, where I also finished.

worth seeing

Good trail, nice, easy and enjoyable. Very interesting place. Last 200 metres currently can’t access and is 10chf for entry. Go when it first opens or when it is closing as crowds begin to reduce, shuts at 5:30.
