Trail reviews for Agulla de Sant Joan
Bring water and food from outside the town. It is extremely expensive (water you can get in the city’s Fontana )
A wonderful way to spend the evening! Would recommend. So few people for such beautiful views. A lot of stairs, quite the climb but a fun run down. I would say It was moderated to hard in places but I did the whole thing in sandals.
Very steep trail that continues to climb and climb but rewards you with the most beautiful views over the city!
Awesome trail that was easy to follow and had markers too. Wasn’t as steep as I expected and beautiful views.
Hard, but worth it. Lots of stairs. We hiked from the Monastery to Jeromi lookout point and back (did not do the whole loop) in about 2.5 hours, which includes some time to rest at the top and enjoy the view.
Be careful as there were numerous ibexes. Which can be dangerous.
Worth doing in the morning before trails get full
All paved trail. Gorgeous statues. Incredible views!
If you jaywalk on the road, the hiking trail begins. There are some very steep and narrow paths, but when you want to give up, a large walking path appears, and the stairs of hell begin again. When you want to give up, you arrive at the monastery. It is a great sense of accomplishment. It is a very satisfying hiking trail. It is not recommended on rainy days because there are many rocks.
