Beautiful excursion to reach the summit of Monte Amiata (1738m), starting from a parking lot in Pian della Culla. The trail has some challenging parts, and the path is not always well-marked, but the forest and the views are gorgeous and worth the effort. The itinerary mainly follows the Rigale path, and during the last stretch before the summit, it continues on the Via Crucis.
