Trail reviews for Agia Marina
First of all, general information: fairly easy route, with few technical sections. It's on a hillside. However, there's no signposting. I got "lost", following a red square sign that only takes you to two remarkable places, then you're on a forest path (I love the forest). Here it's pine trees all the way and the final stretch ends in an olive grove. The route is quite precise. Make sure you bring plenty of water (at least 2L per person), as I did this trail in 30°C weather after work in the afternoon, in the shade, but the pines keep the heat in. There are no springs, and in October the streams run dry. You'll need hiking boots or equivalent: one descent is rocky, a little carelessness and you'll be surfing on almost 1 metre, at worst you'll end up on your bottom :D. In conclusion, for me who's recovering from injuries and where my favourite playground is the forest between 850 and 1,000 metres altitude, it's a really nice walk with gaps that give a panoramic view of the sea and Turkey.
