Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 84 servings

  • 1 cup butter

  • 1 ½ cups white sugar

  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 3 large eggs

  • 3 ¼ cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

  • 1 ½ cups prepared mincemeat, drained

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.

  2. Beat butter, sugar, and eggs together in a large bowl with an electric mixer until light and fluffy; beat in vanilla. Sift the flour, salt and baking soda together, and add to butter mixture. Mix until well blended. Stir in the nuts and mincemeat and mix well.

  3. Drop by teaspoonfuls, about 2 inches apart, on prepared cookie sheets.

  4. Bake in the preheated oven until light brown at the edges, 8 to 10 minutes.
