Herbed Blackberries on the Rocks

This summer sipper is customizable. Out of rosemary? Try mint or sage. Not a tequila drinker? Vodka works just as well. Or make it a mocktail and replace the tequila with a splash of lime or blackberry sparkling water.

Ingredients

  • 6 fresh blackberries, divided

  • 3 sprigs fresh rosemary, divided

  • ice cubes

  • 1 ½ fluid ounces tequila

  • 1 fluid ounce lime juice

  • 4 teaspoons simple syrup

Directions

  1. Put 4 blackberries and 2 sprigs of rosemary in a cocktail shaker; crush gently with a muddler or back of a wooden spoon. Add ice cubes, tequila, lime juice, and 4 teaspoons simple syrup. Cover and shake until very cold. Strain into an ice-filled glass. Garnish with more blackberries and remaining rosemary sprig.
