Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 1 servings

  • 3 tablespoons white sugar

  • 3 tablespoons water

  • 1 lime wedge

  • 1 pinch kosher salt

  • 4 sprigs fresh cilantro leaves

  • 3 sprigs fresh mint, divided

  • 7 thin slices cucumber, divided

  • 2 fluid ounces tequila

  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice

  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

  • ½ fluid ounce vodka

  • 1 cup ice cubes

Directions

  1. Shake sugar and water in a Mason jar until sugar dissolves.

  2. Run lime wedge around the rim of a glass; dip rim in a dish of salt.

  3. Put cilantro, 2 sprigs mint, and 3 cucumber slices in a cocktail shaker. Add sugar mixture, tequila, lime juice, lemon juice, and vodka. Mash mixture with a muddler or wooden spoon until herbs are broken up and flavors are released, about 15 seconds. Add ice to fill; cover and shake vigorously for 10 seconds.

  4. Fill prepared glass with fresh ice and arrange remaining 4 cucumber slices inside. Strain drink into glass and garnish with mint sprig.
