Original recipe (1X) yields 12 servings 2 small cucumbers, thinly sliced 1 ½ tablespoons salt 1 medium onion, finely chopped 1 cup white sugar 1 cup white wine vinegar ½ cup apple cider vinegar ¼ cup brown sugar 1 ½ teaspoons mustard seeds ½ teaspoon celery seeds 1 pinch ground turmeric Directions Mix cucumber slices and salt together in a bowl; let sit for 1 1/2 hours. Pour cucumbers into a sieve set in the sink. Thoroughly rinse cucumbers under cold running water and drain well.
