Tahini and honey combine with cinnamon for an easy way to switch up your breakfast routine. This sweet tahini spread is common in Greece, where you can buy it in jars at the grocery store. Thankfully, it's easy to make at home and have on hand to enjoy any morning of the week.

I always add cinnamon to my tahini honey spread and highly recommend it, but it can definitely be made without. I also sometimes add a generous pinch of coarse sea salt or fleur de sel, for a sweet-salty combo that might make it even more delicious!

My favorite way to enjoy tahini honey spread is on a nice thick piece of toast. I sometimes sprinkle the top with sesame seeds or cacao nibs for a little extra texture.

Just like tahini and honey on their own, you don't need to refrigerate this spread after you've made it. Just store in a cool, dark place in an airtight container.

Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 12 servings

  • 2/3 cup tahini

  • 1/3 cup honey, or more to taste

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Directions

  1. Combine tahini, honey, and cinnamon in a bowl. Stir until well combined. Taste and add more honey if desired.
