Original recipe (1X) yields 6 servings 1 cup water ½ cup brown rice 1 pound lean ground beef 1 onion, chopped 2 cloves garlic, minced 2 green bell peppers 2 red bell peppers 2 yellow bell peppers 2 (8 ounce) cans natural tomato sauce 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce salt and ground black pepper to taste 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese, optional Directions Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Bring water and brown rice to a boil in a saucepan. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed, 45 to 50 minutes.
