Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 10 servings

  • 1 (7 1/2 ounce) bag crunchy corn snacks (such as Bugles®)

  • 1 cup lightly packed brown sugar

  • 1/3 cup butter

  • 2/3 cup peanut butter

  • 1/3 cup light corn syrup

  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 cup chocolate chips

  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil

  • flaky sea salt (optional)

Directions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment or waxed paper. Spread Bugles out on the sheet.

  2. Combine sugar, butter, peanut butter, and corn syrup in a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring mixture to a boil, stirring often. Boil for 2 minutes, remove from heat, and pour over Bugles. Toss quickly to coat and spread into an even layer.

  3. Combine chocolate chips and coconut oil in a small bowl. Melt in the microwave in 30 second increments, stirring in between each. Drizzle melted chocolate over bugles and let cool completely. For best results, refrigerate for 5 minutes to allow chocolate to harden. Break into large pieces; store in an airtight container.
