Costco Has Le Creuset Cookware at Almost Half the Original Price

We love a good deal on quality cookware. And while we appreciate a good knock-off at a more affordable price, we're ecstatic when we can get the real thing at a discount. 

Costco first gave us the Le Creuset look-alike Dutch oven set for only $30, but now it seems the mega retail chain is offering actual Le Creuset cookware at a fantastic price. 

Costco Has Le Creuset Cookware at Almost Half Off

A recent Reddit thread caught our eye discussing how Costco is now selling Le Creuset cookware. The photo shows two items from Le Creuset on the shelves of a Costco warehouse, and the caption says, “Say what? New Costco is fancy.” The first item is the Le Creuset 4.5-quart Dutch oven, priced at $199.99, and the second is the Le Creuset square skillet grill, going for $119.99. Both items are enameled cast iron and appear to be a shade of red or orange, although it’s hard to tell for certain from the photo. 

We checked the Le Creuset website to see just how good this deal is, and we were pleasantly surprised. The round Dutch oven typically runs anywhere from $312-$390 for a 4.5 quart, depending on the color. Both the orange and red colors are currently priced at $390 online. As for the Le Creuset square skillet grill, that can range from $180-$225 with both the orange and the red shades going for $225. 

Costco’s prices are by far more affordable, and judging from all the comments on this Reddit post, we aren’t the only ones excited about these new offerings. Most were especially pleased about the Dutch oven with one commenter saying, “$199 for a Le Creuset Dutch oven is a...good price,” while someone else stated, “Don't sleep on that 4qt.” Another agreed by responding, “Yeah that dutch oven is $390 at Williams Sonoma.”

Another topic that came about in a subthread was how this Dutch oven has a metal knob rather than plastic: “The DO is not a bad deal especially since it comes with the metal knob.” Another person added, “That is a nice DO. With that knob, you can do 450° EZ.” While the Dutch oven is oven-safe, a plastic knob can only withstand temps up to 390 degrees F (190 degrees C).

We did more digging online and saw that Costco has other Le Creuset products as well, including the Le Creuset 3.5-quart signature rectangular casserole selling for $79.99 (originally $104-$130 at Le Creuset). There are also more Dutch oven sizes available online, such as the 2.75-quart round, 5-quart oval, and 6.75-quart oval, priced between $185 and $280.
