Oreo's Coziest Flavor Ever Is Back After 5 Years

They're best enjoyed fireside.

The days are growing shorter, the temperatures are dropping, and that can only mean one thing: the holidays are coming. Despite it barely being Halloween, we've been seeing new holiday product drops since as early as July. These days, holiday products are hitting shelves left and right (we see you, Costco), with no regard for the fact that it's only mid-October. Whether you're ready to face the (Christmas) music or not, your favorite snack brand is ready to get you in the holiday spirit. That's right, Oreo has a new seasonal cookie flavor that's perfect for the colder, cozier days ahead.

Hot Cocoa Oreo Cookies Are Back

Oreo's latest addition to its ever-expanding lineup is the Hot Cocoa Chocolate Sandwich Cookie. It's being touted as a new flavor, however, if you're an OG Oreo head like us, these cookies may actually look familiar. That's because the Hot Cocoa Oreo first launched in 2017 for a limited time. They were a hit, with one fan even going so far as to say, "They might have been my personal favorite Oreo over the years."

Well, that person is in luck, and so are all of us! The Hot Cocoa Oreo is back again with the same flavor way: Oreo's signature chocolate cookies sandwich not one but two layers of creme filling to replicate the warm, wintry drink—one layer of marshmallow-flavored creme and another layer of hot cocoa-flavored creme. Because what would a mug of hot chocolate be without marshmallows?!

While we're inclined to dunk Oreos in a glass of cold milk, we can't stop thinking about how good these would be dunked in warm milk. Or, better yet, a mug full of hot chocolate. Too meta? No such thing. Plus, these would make a next-level Oreo mug cake, especially if you topped that cake with a few mini marshmallows or a dollop of marshmallow fluff.

Hot Cocoa Oreo Cookies are hitting stores nationwide starting as early as today(!) and will be available while supplies last. You should be able to get them anywhere Oreo cookies are sold. However, if we know anything about limited-time Oreo flavors, it's that they don't last long.
