Just in time for your summer entertaining, Costco has a must-have that will elevate how you keep your beverages chilled. Of course, you can keep your cans of soda and seltzer or your bottles of beer and wine in your old cooler that you’ve dragged through campgrounds, parks, and beaches. It gets the job done.

Or, you can serve your beverages on ice in style in an attractive beverage tub that has guests saying, “I love that. Where did you get it? Was it expensive?”

You could answer, “I got it at Crate & Barrel for $120,” or you could answer, “I got it at Costco for $25.” The choice is yours, but if we made the pick, we’d go for the $25 version.

Costco’s Hammered Beverage Tub

Instagram’s Laura Lamb posted a video on her costohotfinds account about the Laurie Gates Hammered Beverage Tub, available at her local Costco in Dallas, Texas. “It’s a fourteen-and-a-half-quart aluminum hammered beverage tub, and it’s so pretty,” she said in the video’s voiceover. The price tag in the video shows that it’s $24.99.

One of the commenters said, “Love it! Just like the one I got at Crate and Barrel, but in Black [and] way more expensive.”

Crate & Barrel carries a hammered beverage tub made of aluminum in several colors, including silver. It’s $119.95. The tub looks very similar to the Costco version. It’s handcrafted, while the Costco version is probably machine-manufactured, but that’s the biggest difference between the two—that and the handles.

Both have handles cut out of the sides of the buckets, but it appears the Costco handles are a bit higher up and not as large. That may be a plus because more than one of the Crate & Barrel reviews mentions the placement of the handles is a problem when filling with ice. Ice can fall out of the large handles, and water can spill out of them when it melts.

The tub has other uses, too.

“That is legit. [There are] so many uses and cheap too,” commented one of costohotfind’s followers. Several people mentioned how the beverage tub would make a great wedding or housewarming gift, filled with “a nice bottle of Champagne & goodies!!” Another suggested filling it with cocktail accessories as a bridal shower gift.

Another follower summed it up simply, “Need!” Maybe it’s time to head to Costco and grab one. At this price, you can get a couple extra for future gifts. We're feeling the need, too!
