Grilled Cali Chicken Ratings & Reviews 73 see all Chicken Diane Style 03/09/2015 On flavor, I'd rate this a 5 easily. The tastes were great and I accidentally used 1/3 c Whiskey (whoops!). Don't think that made much of a difference as the end result was great. Other than the one accidental change, I followed the recipe as-is and served over Jasmine rice. I can't rate this 5 stars because quite frankly, there's no "good" way to plate this. The end result is kind of mushy and a collage of browns. I love mushrooms so I'm not saying it's gross, just not a pretty plated meal so maybe not for company. But for the hubby and I, this was fantastic and happy for the some leftovers for lunch! Will certainly make again as an easy, go-to recipe. Helpful (1) Pumpkin Pancakes 12/07/2014 Had to make minor modifications, mostly because of what I had on hand. Subbed 1/2c of Soy Flour because I ran short on regular flour. I also used 2-1/2tsp Pumpkin Spice for the combo of cinnamon, allspice and ginger. Also used Almond Milk (unsweetened, vanilla). However even with these super minor changes, I don't think they affected the integrity of the recipe and hubs was super happy with it! This made a total of 22 pancakes (used 1/4c scoop to get even pancakes). Consistency was very silky, and they puffed up nicely. Very hearty, which was perfect. I did add a small handful of chopped walnuts to mine, although I didn't think it added anything. Just nice to have the crunch. We'll definitely make these again and will experiment with adding different things (granola, different nuts in the batter, dried cranberries, the possibilities are endless!). Thanks!! Helpful (1) Awesome and Easy Creamy Corn Casserole 11/30/2013 I made this for a friends' thanksgiving after thanksgiving and it was amazing! I doubled the recipe, used a throw-away aluminum casserole pan, and added 1 bunch of green onions plus 6 strips of crumbled REAL bacon and cooked it for roughly 1 hour and 15 minutes with 3 minutes under a broiler. It was AMAZING to say the least!! Out of the 30+ dishes, it was the only one that had no leftovers!! Winner winner, chicken dinner!! Will absolutely make this again! Helpful (6) Black-Eyed Peas with Pork and Greens 01/01/2013 Helpful (0) Apple Crisp 11/25/2012 So perfect!! I ended up putting it in two different tart pans and loved it. I think being so spread out made the crisp part crispier :) I also subbed crushed graham crackers for the flour. Very happy with this change. Enjoy!! Helpful (2) Green Bean Casserole Remix 11/25/2012 This was fantastic! Made it for a post-Thanksgiving dinner with friends and it was a huge hit. 4 different types of green bean casserole and this one was the only one called out for how good it was specifically. Very proud :) I made some tiny variations but nothing that changed the integrity of the recipe. Subbed Turkey Bacon for the regular, fresh green beans for frozen, skim milk in a roux for the half-and-half, and used sliced baby portobellos. I forgot the parmesan cheese but didn't notice it. This was fantastic!
