I had to change up a few things due to what we had on hand. French Vanilla yogurt and for the almonds I had to use a Nature Valley Oats and Honey bar broken up. I cut up the apple put in bowl and sprinkled with cinnamon and nutmeg. Then put the maple syrup on. Mixed that a bit. Then topped it with the yogurt and the broken granola bar. One last mix and it was absolutely delicious. Going to make the many times over. Thanks for a great recipe. I put the tray back into the oven for two minutes to make the cheese curds melty; easier to eat that way. Yum! It was good, and better than plain rice, but not fantastic. The flavour combo was lovely but seemed to be missing the wow factor I'm reading here. I toasted my almonds for added crunch. Used plain Greek yogurt and added honey. It complimented the rest of the ingredients. Helpful (0) Grilled Garlic and Herb Shrimp 04/25/2018 We really liked this recipe, but it needed a bit more punch. More lemon and a pinch of cayenne. I did however only marinate for an hour so maybe that made a difference. Will make this again! Helpful (0) Old-Fashioned Italian Zucchini Fritters 04/25/2018 These are yummy. It would be great to indicate how much zucchini based on cups vs numbers of zucchini’s. Anyway, I did the salting and moisture squeezing and I had no problems with frying. I used coconut oil instead of vegetable. For the second batch I flattened them as they fried and they cooked perfectly evenly. I’ll definitly make these again. Helpful (4) Chicken Wonton Tacos 04/25/2018 Okay, this is a keeper recipe! I took other reviewers’ advice and omitted the teriyaki sauce. I used pre-shredded cabbage and just kept adding to match the amount of sauce... seemed like more sauce than the amount of cabbage called for. Everyone absolutely loved them. Crunchy, saucy, so flavourful. Oh and I also added sesame seeds. Helpful (1) Holiday Praline Delite Pie 03/14/2018 This is really delicious... waaay too sweet for me, but I’m rating on other people’s tastes who are dessert eaters. They loved it. I would suggest the amount of milk listed be changed to “what your pudding box calls for” not 3 cups. I did a little less than the box suggested to be thicker for pie and that was less than 2 cups. There is no cooking of the filling as one reviewer was worried about, I think in number 2 it should read: ...as directed for a pie, CHILL for 5 minutes (vs “cool” as is written). I did have a little panic moment in #3 where it says to spread the reserved mixture over the nuts, because that already happened. This would now be top layer over the first layer of pudding. I’m sure that’s what the writer meant, at least, that’s what I did and it turned out fine. I had extra ingredients so I put some puff pastry in a muffin tray, baked them, and thenmade some mini versions according to the above order. I preferred them this way. It’s a winner for sweet tooths! Helpful (0) The Best Thai Coconut Soup 03/01/2018 I love his soup! I definitely recommend to cut the lemongrass into pieces big enough to avoid. It’s not fun to chew on. The flavours really come out the longer it simmers. I’ll make his over and over!
