Recipe. 02/28/2022 Great use for my jar of bacon grease! The only thing I would add is a tablespoon of cider vinegar before serving if you like it tangy. I saw a review that complained of the stems being tough...uh...Ya don't EAT the stems! Fold leaves in half lengthwise then simply rip out the stem from the bottom...where it breaks naturally is what is edible. I also like to add various veggies and even meats for variety. I just got some beautiful bright orange spaghetti squash at our farmer's market and cannot wait to see if that is any different. I especially love the fact that it is versatile so you can perfect it to your own tastes. As for concern about the eggs, you CAN purchase pasteurized eggs these days people. Don't let the eggs prevent you from making a terrific pie! Helpful (1) Spaghetti Squash Casserole in the Shell 01/04/2018 This is easily upped to a 5 star recipe with more seasoning and cheese. I also tried to under cook the squash and then add filling without scooping. This allowed juices to seep down into the squash and the biggie...it's a nice presentation and less to clean up. Helpful (0) Outrageous Warm Chicken Nacho Dip 08/31/2017 This is wonderful in a crock pot with an assortment of dipping choices. I found using half the Velveeta and subbing in cotija or queso fresco or even a smoked cheddar is a great addition. We also like to add corn for a bit more crunch and comfort food feel. I get many requests for this dish at parties. It's a great one to play with various substitutions to change it up.
