The flavor was just not there-I have a turkey recipe similar to this that I live but this misses the mark. I agree it has a 'pinesol' taste to it. There wasn't much I could do to salvage it. Obviously the jelly makes the chicken purple. It was just not appetizing eating a purple chicken breast. The only saving grace was that the chicken was moist. Helpful (4) Sesame Green Beans 12/24/2011 After having sesame green beans in a sushi restaurant, I wanted to try and make this at home because my husband is a big fan of fresh green beans. I was not disappointed. I added a splash of sesame oil and just a small bit of garlic. I didn't want the garlic to overpower the sesame taste. This could easily be served during the week or for a holiday meal. Helpful (2) Champagne Punch 11/23/2008 I've made this punch several times now and it is always a hit. Each time there is at least one person that asks for the recipe. At my last party I had someone fill up a water bottle with the punch so they could take it home for their husband to try-it's that good!! The sauce wasn't what I had hoped for so I think it's just a matter of finding a sauce that compliments this dish better and I would give it a 5. Helpful (3) Vegan Butternut Squash Casserole 10/13/2007 This dish has changed my feeling about squash! Finally at Thanksgiving we can all agree on one sqaush dish. This turned out so sweet and the texture was perfect. Kids and grown ups gobbled this right up! Helpful (4) Garlic Prime Rib 10/13/2007 If ever a recipe deserved five stars this is it. This is easy, elegant and most importantly delicious! I throw in several cloves of garlic and scatter them around the base of the roast. After the roast is done cooking, not only does the garlic aroma linger in the meat but now I have roasted garlic for bread. I do double of the marinade and lather it up good. The end result is a perfect crust and moist meat. The leftovers make incredible sandwiches. This is a favorite of everyone in my family!
