But I gave it 4 stars bc it only took 30 minutes to cook. Any more and it would have been mush. Second, I did not peal back the husks or remove the silk. Here is my only big change: I took some heavy duty kitchen scissors and cut the stalk end to just about the cob. This released the largest husk pieces to discard. Then I threw them on a 300 degree grill for about 25 or 30 minutes (turning every 5 minutes or so). Man, it turned out amazing! Just added a little butter, salt and pepper and had the best corn on the cob ever! I only gave 4 stars to the original recipe. This change would make it a 5. Then sauted them with mushroom, garlic and onions. I didn't have any lemon so I used a few cloves of garlic instead. I also added 1/4 cup of crumbled bacon and used half sharp Vermont cheddar and half mild. I doubled the recipe and I came home with no leftovers at the church luncheon! Plus people kept telling me they loved it. Helpful (0) Better-Than-Olive Garden Alfredo Sauce 01/29/2019 Okay, I made it as written. I found the taste a bit bland compared to my wife's Alfredo sauce. The biggest difference is that she uses twice the Romano cheese and no mozz. I like that this one uses much less butter than hers tho' (1/2 cup of butter!) for less calories. I will try again and double the Romano cheese (I don't like Parmesan as much). Oh, and she uses ground nutmeg and no pepper.
