So good! I used a 9 x 9 inch pan of stale Gluten Free brownies (Betty Crocker)... A 1/4 of which had already been eaten (Oops). I crumbled the brownies in a food processor and added a little more than 1/4C Rum... they were strong, but for the better! Four ounces of dark chocolate was not enough to coat these. I had some semi sweet chocolate chips on hand that I used to coat the remaining. Husband loved these... taking the rest to our family Christmases. I used gluten free graham crackers in the crustI left pie in the oven 2 hours after it had baked... once pie had cooled I used the maple pecan glaze from the recipe "Maple Pumpkin Cheesecake", however, I omitted the pecans b/c I had placed pecans on top of the cheesecake prior to baking.. I only made half of the glaze and drizzled it over the cheesecake. This has become my favorite fall dessert and I can't wait to make it again! Helpful (0) Sausage and Beef Stuffed Acorn Squash 11/01/2012 This was surprisingly very good. I prebaked the squash in the oven for 40 minutes at 375 degrees. Added mushrooms, canned tomatoes, and a bit of the following spices: Cayenne Pepper, Celery Seed, & Rosemary to the meat. Delicious! Helpful (3) Pecan Turtles Bars 10/18/2012 My husband loved these. I thought they were too sweet. I took other reviewers suggestion to used 2 Cups Flour. Next time I do that but will also omit the brown sugar from the crust. I doubled the brown sugar, butter, and Pecans and used butterscotch chips in addition to semisweet. Helpful (3) German Chocolate Cake III 05/21/2012 This was my first time baking a German Chocolate Cake. I followed the recipe to a T. My cakes came out flat and dense. Maybe I over mixed the batter, I'm not sure. I took others advice regarding the frosting and made 1.5 the amount it called for. I had enough for some between each layer and on top, but there was not enough frost the sides of the cake. But it looked fine and was plenty sweet! Speaking of sweet, I thought the cake called for a lot of sugar! If I made this again I think I will omit some sugar and use more German Chocolate. I would have liked it to be more chocolatey. I used 2 ounces of chocolate for the drizzle. Everyone said the cake was delicious, so I guess it's a winner! ;-) Helpful (1) Silver Dollar Pancakes (Gluten-free) 04/27/2012 Delicious! Nutty texture and taste, but very good! Helpful (1)
