These tasted like eating Sour Cream and Onion Potato Chips—not like mashed potatoes. I really don’t like them.

Use 8 ounces cream cheese and skip the milk. Half the sour cream. Regular salt and pepper. Add a whole stick of butter! Whip smooth with a mixer. The milk makes them runny. Plain salt only, no onion salt. Whip smooth, put them in the crock of your large crockpot. Put lid on and store in fridge. When ready to use, heat in crock pot. No lumpy mashed potatoes for me, I don't see the point in mashed potatoes if they're full of lumps. Also, I prefer red potatoes. Better flavor.

A keeper! Easy to follow Crowd-pleaser Family favorite Worth the effort Great flavors
I made these exactly as recommended. I used evaporated milk and added a stick of melted butter. These potatoes are the creamiest, most delicious potatoes. I’ve made mashed potatoes the day before with butter and milk. The sour cream and cream cheese makes the creamiest potatoes. And the flavor is outstanding. You can’t make out what is in these potatoes but they are creamy goodness. They don’t even need gravy! I’m Irish, my Nana is from there and I know my potatoes. These are A+

I loved this recipe. I usually just add milk and butter however making them this way added more flavor. I just made one modification. I put cheddar cheese and bacon bits on top. Thank you for this awesome recipe.

Tried this recipe plus regular mashed potatoes. Homemade mashed potatoes were far better than this recipe.
