This is pretty much the way I have made egg salad for more than 50 years. Sometimes I add a little pickle relish. This method of cooking the eggs absolutely DOES work. Eggs in cold water, bring to a rapid boil, cover with lid, remove from heat, let sit 12 minutes, put in ice water bath. It has never failed. I subbed in pickles for the green onions, which gave it a nice crunch and a layer of tartness. Balance of condiments was appealing. It gives it a crunch Helpful (0) Bonnie Harrington reviewed wifeyluvs2cook’s Delicious Egg Salad Recipe. 3 weeks ago Very good recipe! I would add that I have found that steaming my eggs for 12 minutes and then placing in an ice bath has been working very well. Perfectly cooked and easy to peel. This has been waiting to be tried in my recipe box for so long! But I was always so hesitant to make it because I just couldnt think of eating a mixute of teriyaki and ranch cheese and bacon...It just seemed a little unusual...BUT i finally did! And we all loved it! I sauteed in pan and mixed together teriyaki and ranch and poured over the top in a baking dish. I then topped with cheese, bacon and green onion....SOOOOOO good and tender. It made the bottom of the baking dish a little watery but overal it was good! Plus dont trim the fat, because it gives it such an awesome authentic flavor that is carnitas signature trait. I also seared the roast on all sides before putting in the slow cooker for more flavor...I only used half the orange, squeezed the juice, and left the peels in there. I didnt put it in there in chunks either, I just let it cook on low for about 10hrs and shredded it, removed the large pieces of orange, and onion, and returned to the juices before serving.....Very good.thx! Helpful (12) Artichoke and Sun-Dried Tomato Chicken 10/16/2009 This is how I turned this bland dish FABULOUS! Ok, I seasoned the chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, then browned in olive oil, removed from pan, and added chopped onion, garlic, and sauteed. then added the REG diced tomatoes, with a tbs of italian seasonings, and salt pepper, crushed red pepper, and some sugar. I added chopped artichokes, NOT the marinated, and the pesto, AND some chopped sundried tomatoes. I added the chicken back to the pan and let simmer until cooked through on LOW. Meanwhile I cooked angel hair pasta to go along with it. Served the chicken and sauce on top of a bed of pasta, with garlic bread YUMMY!!!!
