Cookin' With Lukie

This is about as close to my Sicilian Godmother's recipe as I could find. It takes me right back to my childhood.

The name could be improved upon, but the dish is really a tasty casserole that is excellent either served over or with cornbread. How about Pig Pickin' Cake for dessert!

When I make this cake I substitute the juice from the oranges and pineapple for the water called for on the boxed mix to make the required amount of liquid. It's a delicious cake that makes everyone wanting to keep going back for more! It's Pig Pickin' Time!

Success! This was so easy and turned out so well that I didn't change a thing and had a perfect pizza! I love it!

Instead of using corn tortillas, I used flour tortillas. I did not fry them. I experimented with my air fryer and found that it worked perfectly for the Falutas! That's the way for me to go from now on!

Excellent. I cut the recipe in half and used only the Sweet Italian Sausage. I also added a touch of crushed fennel seeds to the sauce. Since there was a smaller amount of food, I used my small crockpot and checked it after 4 hours. That cook time was sufficient. It was delicious. I will continue to make my Sausage and Peppers in my small crockpot.
