It was delicious and so easy! We ate it with white rice on the side, I'm sure you could use chicken or pork and it would taste nice as well. Helpful (1) Simple White Cake 02/28/2012 I made this when I had to make some cupcakes. I followed the recipe exact, except I thought the batter was too thick. So I added about 1/4 cup more milk. This made about 12-14 cupcakes, so I would suggest doubling the recipe if you need 24 cupcakes or a larger cake. They baked up wonderfully, it was a dense, moist yummy cake. I hand mixed this in a bowl because I did not want to over mix the batter, which can produce a tougher cake. It tasted like a sugar cookie in cake form, delicious. Helpful (24) Old-Fashioned Potato Salad 01/19/2012 We love this recipe, I have made it several times. The only thing that I do different is use sweet pickles chopped up instead of using sweet relish. I really like the flavor that the celery salt gives this dish, I would not leave this spice out. Helpful (12) Chicken Pot Pie 10/10/2011 This was delicious! I did read the reviews before I made this. I boiled the chicken and veggies in chicken broth and instead of using peas I used about a cup of cut up potatoes plus a garlic clove to give the broth more flavor. Before I drained them I reserved a little more than a cup. I kept the seasonings the same but added about 1/4 teaspoon more salt and 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder. I also used 1 cup of milk instead of 2/3 cup due to some reviews that it needed more of the liquid mixture. I did mix the chicken/veggie mixture to the liquid before putting it in the pie crust. It was so good! Thanks for the recipe. Helpful (7) Angela's Awesome Enchiladas 10/10/2011 So I think this is a great recipe. I have made this a couple of times, the first time I followed the recipe to a T. I really liked it and so did my family, but...I felt it was a little bit too salty for my taste and I like salt. I'm not one of those finicky salt phobia types. Anyways it has been awhile since I have made this but I had all of the ingredients on hand. I would suggest and to save time make this when you have left over chicken. We had a left over roast chicken, so I was able to skip the boiling part and just shred right away. I also left out the green onions in step 2, mainly because we already heat up the chicken with a small diced onion already but I did put the green onion on top of the enchiladas before I put it in the oven. Also I did not use all of the taco seasoning and in stead of filling each individual enchilada with cheese I just added cheese to the filling mixture and let it melt. Its not major but some of these steps saved on some time and it turned out delicious. Helpful (2) Beer Margaritas 04/15/2010 These were awesome! I did use water and not sprite like other reviewers had suggested, it would have made the drinks way too sweet. There is plenty of sugar in the limeade. My husband does not care for margaritas at all, but loved these and we drank these up very quickly while bbq-ing! This is the recipe we will use from now on, and these would be perfect on a hot summer day.
